You get one chance so make it count.  14 years ago I was a 19 year old girl--scared, in pain, and drowning in the fluid that was rapidly filling my lungs. I was in acute heart failure. 14 years ago they said I wouldn't make it. They said if I did survive I'd be on meds for the rest of my life, unless I was lucky enough to get a heart transplant.

I left y'all hanging forever on this.  Thank you so much for your patience.

Let's see…I left off with my bronchitis.  They started me on another round of antibiotics and within a few days, I was 20 pounds lighter, lying flat on my back, and able to say goodbye to the numerous lines they had hooked into me.

I wanted to make sure we were clear on the time frame here. By this point in my story it’s been three weeks since I gave birth. The first week if I had any symptoms I didn’t notice or I contributed them to recovery of childbirth.
